WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
The British Decorative and Fine Arts Society of Berlin e.V. (BRIDFAS Berlin) is a Member Society of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS) one of the UK's leading voluntary arts education bodies.
BRIDFAS Berlin was founded in February 1996 with the aim to promote the appreciation and study of the fine arts in their widest sense and to stimulate a greater awareness of our international cultural heritage.
The BRIDFAS lecture season starts in January and ends in November and includes up to eight lectures illustrated by slides and music. All lectures are given in English by experts from the UK and cover a wide range of subjects such as art, architecture, furniture, silver, china etc. as well as literature and music. BRIDFAS Berlin meets at the Fritz-Haber-Villa, Faradayweg 8, side entrance Hittorfstraße, 14195 Berlin, (U 3 Thielplatz, Bus M11 Hittorfstrasse) normally the last Monday of the month. The lecture begins promptly at 8 p.m. Doors open for the sale of wine and soft drinks from 7.30 p.m. After the lecture we cordially invite you to stay for wine and snacks. As BRIDFAS is registered as a charity, a donation certificate is obtainable for the membership fee and any other donations to BRIDFAS.
The annual subscription fee is € 75,-- per person. Guests are always welcome, the guest fee is € 10,-- per person and lecture. We offer a 50% student reduction.
